If you are a homosexual or support them, under the age of 30, and African American; your interest in applying for a job at See's Candies will be unnecessary.

Famous chocolate vendor See’s Candy decided to close one of its most prominent store in the heart of San Francisco, rather than comply with the city’s nondiscrimination requirements.

If you're a starving college student, too bad! Look elsewhere, they won't hire you!

"Yes, The pay and hours are in line with other companies, however, they are way to selective for a seasonal position. I applied for a seasonal part time position and was turned down. I had years of customer service working in my fathers' candy store.
The person ahead of my was asked on the spot to try on her uniform and I was not. The person who interviewed me said I will call you on Sat and let you know. I knew right there and then I didn't get the position. I waited for him to interview a gentlemen and he was asked about size. The only thing I can tell is they wanted someone older than me. And yes, I'm in a protected class. I guess this is what customer service is really like. No return call back."- Indeed.com from the review section

"Don't fret, you will not receive a call back from them. I have applied for several years and never got a call, not even from headquarters. You are correct, they only pick older folks. I was a mystery shopper for them and an older gentleman said the olders have a better work history and are willing to work hard at any hour. Their customer service was rated on all counts and I thought the workers just wanted to get off their feet soon and leave the mall." - Indeed.com from the review section

See's Candies has a deep rooted hate for one particular group of minority.  If you're of African decent, don't waste your time applying. It doesn't matter if you look like Halle Berry, don't live up to the "stereotype", and/or have Resume that is out of this world.

Honestly, has anybody ever seen an African American working at See's Candies?  White, Asian, and Hispanics are the only type of people that See's Candies will hire.  Also, the employees don't greet African Americans like they do to "other" customers. Samples aren't offered to African Americans off the back, they have to ask. While everyone else is asked if they want samples as soon as they come through the door. It doesn't matter the age or the profession, if you're black the company looks down on you.
